We love that an everyday item like a rug can make such a big impact at an event. Whether you make it as a memorable aisle runner or as a unique backdrop we love seeing vintage rugs in a wedding setting.
Ceremony Aisle Runners
Using rugs for your ceremony aisle is great way to add your own unique twist! Mix shapes, colors and even styles for an eclectic look. Simply add a few aisle bouquets to tie it all together. We love how our couple from this summer kept the different colors all tied together with their aisle markers and florals.

New Age Alter
Keep things simple with a single rug at the end of your aisle. We love when our couples pair this look with a few well placed floral bunches for an altar that gives you a simplified, yet welcoming feel.
Ceremony Backdrop
Not every wedding needs to have a traditional arbor with flowers. Some couples want a cozier feel at the end of their aisle. We love the newest trend of a rug backdrop for doing just that! Using a vintage rug in a wedding this way may just be our favorite new trend.
Lounge Setup
Using rugs in a wedding the same way you use them at home might not be the most groundbreaking idea, but it adds a sense of familiarity for your guests that helps them truly lounge and relax. A favorite of ours to add to any lounge is our White Cowhide Handwoven rug. The intricate stitching and subtle tones make it a true style chameleon.
While both lounge setups are beautiful, we think the rug helps tie all of the furniture pieces together and creates a more visually inviting area. Take it a step further and layer your couches and chairs with a few sheepskin furs for added luxury. Who knew rugs in a wedding could make such a statement!
